Cassie started her journey in Indiana, working as a kennel attendant at a busy veterinary hospital. Her passion for animal care quickly became a career—she trained as a veterinary technician, began doing house calls, and eventually started offering pet sitting services on the side.

 

It wasn’t just a job—it was a calling. In 2018, Cassie and her husband Brice packed up their lives and moved to Florida, ready for sunshine and new beginnings. With no local connections, no client base, and no guarantees, she started over—one walk, one visit, and one family at a time. Slowly but surely, word spread.

 

Cassie continued working as a vet tech while growing the business, but the demand for her personalized, trustworthy care quickly outpaced the time she had. Together, she and Brice decided to go all in. She left the clinic behind, committed full-time to Critter Sitter, and began hiring and training a team that shared their values.

 

Today, Critter Sitter is a boutique pet care company built on trust, compassion, and clinical-level confidence. With a handpicked team—including experienced vet techs—we specialize in senior pets, medical cases, and animals who need just a little extra attention and understanding.
